Warning

As Dauphin and the rest of the surrounding Parkland communities begin to dig themselves out from Tuesday's blizzard, Environment Canada is urging the public to be prepared in case of emergencies on the road.

While Environment Canada is advising Parkland residents to avoid being on the road, if you are driving, you should equipt yourself with an emergency kit.

Warning Prepardeness Meterologist  Natalie Hasell says it's never too late to prepare yourself for the elements.

"If you don't know how to do that go look at getprepared.gc.ca, it's a fantastic little website that outlines everything you need in check list form for emergency kits."

Hasell added that the blizzard is a precurser to the weather in Dauphin dropping later this week, and into next week.

Environment Canada has ended the previous blizzard warning for the following areas: Dauphin, Russell, Roblin, Winnipegosis, Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Mossey River, Ethelbert, Ochre River and Rorketon.
