The DRCSS is one of many schools across Manitoba that will receive a grant towards vocational and industrial arts program.

Education and Training Minister Ian Wishart made the announcement last week that a total of $1.5 million dollars would go towards twenty four different schools programs.

DRCSS Vice Principal Stephen Jaddock says he already has plans for the money that the school will receive.

"For the carpentry program, we are going to be using it to get some additional equipment. We have a thirty inch scroll saw, we also have a thirty six inch saw stop, and also a sandtex oscillating spindle sander."

The DRCSS and Grandview's school will receive $29,961 as a part of the grant.
