The RM of Dauphin is taking notice of overland flooding.

At today's general meeting the issue of flooding this Spring was raised, primarily focusing on drainage issues in route number two of the rural municipality.

According to Reeve Dennis Forbes the RM is working on the developing situation.

"It's just coming at as a bit sooner in the year then we were anticipating as indicated last fall, we knew coming into the winter that we had the opportunity in the spring to have some significant high water... we've had some couple of phone calls and some issues where the water has started to flow over the roads and that type of thing and we've got men and equipment out opening culverts and so on three weeks sooner then we were anticipating but we're taking care of it."

Other topics raised at today's meeting included the purchasing of new equipment, repairs to a swinging bridge north of Dauphin, and Canada 150 celebrations.
