Diabetes Canada is focusing on education.
the Canadian Diabetes Association recently rebranded themselves as Diabetes Canada.
Regional Director for Manitoba and Nunavut Andrea Kwasnicki hopes the rebranding will help get people talking about the issues associated with diabetes.
"We are facing an epidemic, with over 11-million Canadians impacted by diabetes. We needed to really raise the awareness and get people interested and get people to pay attention."
Diabetes Canada will be in Dauphin on February 24th and 25th hosting a nutrition bingo at the DFC and Senior Centre.
