The Elkhorn and Area Community foundation received their biggest donation this week, a donation of one million dollars.
The donation came courtesy of the estate of Gilbert Soder.
The donation also came in the name of Milburn Soder, who passed away a few years earlier.
Ed Clayton is the treasurer of the foundation, and says this donation will be a big help.
"It will allow us to give out four times as many dollars in grants as we have been giving out. This is really great for our community."
The Elkhorn Community Foundation has been around since 1998.
