Graduating students at the DRCSS now have an alumni association to join upon graduation.
The group, made up of graduates of the DRCSS and the former DCTI, met for the first time last week, where they named their board of directors.
Cam Bennet is a Teacher at the DRCSS, and now is also President of the alumni association, and he told CKDM about the group's first project.
"When the floor was being removed, we got in there one evening and we mapped out the ones that we wanted for special areas on the court. We took out as much floor as we could. Mr. Sheldon down in the carpentry wood shop has been extremely helpful in storing all that stuff. We are now ready, and we have tons of flooring, probably too much."
Floor pieces will be sold for $20 each, with special pieces going for slightly high price.
