Dauphin's snowmobile trails need a bit more work before they're ready to ride on.
The Dauphin and District Snowmobile Club held their third meeting of the season on Monday night in Winnipegosis.

The general discussion focused on trail conditions and when they would be opened.

Club President George Carrier says there is more work to be done before the trails are ready.

"We may have to send out guys on snowmobiles to pack some trails before we even send the groomer out. Just to push the frost down into the ground so the groomer is not getting stuck, which is what happened on the weekend. He broke through some ice just in a little mud hole, and basically got hung up and got stuck."

Carrier also says with plenty of cold weather and sun in the forecast this week, the trails could be ready sooner, rather than later.
