This Saturday in Gilbert Plains, the fire and emergency services are hosting their annual Christmas Gala fundraiser.
This is the 15th year they're gathering the community to celebrate the hard work and service the emergency crews do for the community.
David Butler is a member of the fire department in Gilbert Plains, and says a few people will be given special recognition for service on Saturday.
"This year we have one member that will be recognized for thirty years of service. We have three other members that will be getting Governor General's Award Medal's for various numbers of years of service as well."
Tickets are $30 a person. There are only a few tickets remaining for the gala.
