a cow from heifer day in Dauphin
Manitoba Beef Producers' general manager says the bovine TB outbreak to the west is something they're watching but it's not necessarily something they're too concerned about coming to Manitoba.

Brian Lemon says the tuberculosis outbreak does impact the industry nationally.

"We feel for our industry partners in Alberta. It's certainly something that we understand and we can certainly sympathize with... We wish the best for them."

Six cattle have tested positive for bovine TB. More than 10,000 cattle in Alberta and Saskatchewan are to be slaughtered.

Lemon says MBP has reached out to offer what support it can; he says we've got producers here who have been through this and it's historical support MBP can provide.
