Hydro customers in the Grandview and Neepawa areas will experience temporary power outages this afternoon, as crews work to de-ice lines.
Bruce Owen with Manitoba Hydro says the outages will be very temporary, and if anyone experiences prolonged outages to call them in or report them online.
He says besides the ice on power lines, ice on trees is weighing down branches and a strong wind could knock them down.
For now he says the outages should be confined to Grandview and Neepawa but they will know more as they get out there and the day progresses.
