A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy are facing arson charges after a fire consumed the band office on a northeastern Manitoba First Nation.
On Monday morning, the Garden Hill Band Office, which was under construction, was engulfed by a fire.
RCMP say an officer entered the burning building through a window after hearing voices from inside. He found one youth inside, who he got to safety. Another youth had already exited the building.
Two youths were arrested and charged with arson. They have been released from custody and the investigation continues.
