The deadline for applying nutrients to soil before the winter has been extended by the province.
Manitoba Sustainable Development says the date the winter nutrient application ban takes effect has been extended to November 15th because soil temperatures aren't at freezing yet.
That means nutrients can be applied up until 11:59pm November 14th. The ban is then in effect until April 10.
Without the extension, the deadline would be this Thursday.
