The bridge to go between Vermillion Park and the sportsplex is arriving today, but it won't be ready for walking over until January.
Mayor Eric Irwin says the bridge will be finished after the river freezes.
"Either rent a super crane that costs too much money or you sort of wait until the river freezes and you sort of build a scaffold and you sort of put the bridge together in that fashion and I think they're planning on doing that in January."
In the meantime, Irwin says the bridge abutments and a trail will be made.
