A wedding involving a murder was in Dauphin this past weekend.

The Watson Art Centre opened it's doors to the public, inviting the community to attend their Murder Mystery Gala.

The drama performance that included dinner, encouraged attendees to participate gathering clues left by the actors to see which family member committed the murder.

Kirk Nyquist with promotions at the WAC, says it was great establishing a partnership with the two organizations involved.

"We have two of the largest businesses in town they're actually playing, they're actually the characters so Chuck Burton and his wife, Dean Cooley and his wife they're actually characters in the play and their joining our company... somebody's not going to like it, somebody's going to die, there's murder there's death in the building."

The event was a collaborative effort and a key fundraiser for the WAC's Big ASK Capital Campaign.
