The province is considering installing traffic signals at one of Dauphin's problem intersections next year.
 
Through a traffic study, the province has found that the intersections of 1st Avenue South and Main as well as River and Mountain warrant traffic signals.
 
1st and Main was deemed the priority at a meeting between the city and provincial officials in September. CAO Brad Collett says in a report that pending budget approval, the hope is that intersection will be signalized next year.
 
In April, Marc Allard of Manitoba Infrastructure said River and Mountain is trickier because it's a five-way intersection
