A man who used to run a coffee shop in Dauphin has landed himself a role in a Netflix show.

Cory Chetyrbok, who owned the Metro Town Cafe, says he found out two days ago he got a part in a show being shot in Vancouver called Altered Carbon.

"I had to sign a confidentiality agreement that was longer than the sides they gave me to read for the audition, but I looked around online to see what they've already released about it and it's a futuristic sci-fi show where people can download their memories into other bodies or something so that people can live forever."

Chetyrbok says he's playing some kind of counter-revolutionary character.

He says he's got wardrobe coming up, shoots in November, and will probably be wrapped by December.
