O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi and Ebb and Flow have been added to the Prairie Mountain Health mobile clinic schedule.
Prairie Mountain Health CEO Penny Gilson said at the health region's recent A-G-M the two communities would be added, and now it's official.
O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi will get its first mobile clinic day on October 31st. Ebb and Flow's will be November 29th.
The mobile clinic is staffed with a nurse practitioner, a community health nurse, and a driver. Some services they can do include: regular check-ups, treatment for minor ailments, help in managing chronic diseases or conditions, health promotion and education, and referrals. A nurse practitioner can also prescribe medications, order screening and diagnostic test results, and perform minor surgical procedures.
