With about the same number of participants, Dauphin's Red Shoe Crew Walk raised nearly double what it did last year.
Organizer Curtis Kaleta says with it being the second year here in Dauphin, he thinks there was more awareness for the event.
"We had I think it was probably about the same registered walkers as we did last year but we definitely raised a lot more money."
Saturday's walk through Vermillion Park raised $9,426.01 for Ronald McDonald House.
