Arson Trial Underway in Dauphin
Trial began this week for two men accused of starting a fire that burned a house down in Dauphin and severely injured a 17-year-old.
On August 31, 2013, a house in Dauphin was destroyed by a fire. Among the witnesses to already take the stand are some of the people who lived in the house at the time, including the now-20-year-old's mother.
More witnesses will take the stand on Monday, when the trail resumes in Dauphin court at 9 in the morning.
Sean and Seamus Nepinak are each facing arson charges as well as a charge of participating in the activities of a criminal organization.

High Number of Sexual Assaults in Brandon Prompt Police Warning
Brandon police are warning the public about a rash of sexual assaults against female victims over the spring and summer months.
In all four cases, police say the victims were approached while in alleyways or under bridges by male suspects who asked them for a cigarette before attacking them.
The women -- who ranged in age from 27 to 45 -- had all been socializing at bars or homes in the downtown area and were walking alone in remote or dimly lit areas at the time of the incidents.
Police say they believe the incidents may be related and describe the two suspects as 25 to 35 years old, one caucasian and one indigenous.

No Serious Injuries Reported in Crash Involving School Bus
One person has been sent to hospital following a crash between a school bus and minivan in the Rural Municipality of Ritchot, Manitoba.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near the community of Ile-des-Chenes, on Bernat Road south of Provincial Road 210.
The bus was carrying the driver and three children when it collided with a minivan that had a driver and two children inside.
The driver of the minivan was transported to hospital, but there were no serious injuries reported.

Canadian Author Dies
The Canadian author of ''Shoeless Joe'' has died.
His literary agency isn't providing further details, but says WP Kinsella had a physician-assisted death Friday in Hope, BC.
The award-winning novel was the basis of the hit film ''Field of Dreams'' starring Kevin Costner in 1989.
It's about a farmer who hears a voice telling him to build a baseball field.
Kinsella -- who was born in Edmonton -- was 81.
