The Parkland Humane Society is asking for help from the community.
Running all week, the Humane Society will be holding a volunteer drive looking for eager residents who want to get more familiarized with the shelter.
Secretary on the Board of Directors, Tamara Martine says volunteer opportunities range from all hours of the day.
"For the volunteers at the shelter we have three shifts: One is days, from approximately 8:30 in the morning until Noon, afternoons from one to five, and then evenings from six until eight."
The drive is all week running from 1 pm - 5 pm.
