OSS is Now in Charge of Recycling in the RM

A new recycling system has started a little early in the RM of Dauphin.

The RM posted to Facebook yesterday that due to a miscommunication Ottenbreit Sanitation Services has taken over recycling duties as of yesterday.

That means there is no longer any door-to-door pickup for any RM residents.

Large recycling containers are placed throughout the RM. Most are open 24 hours a day.

You are asked not to bag the recycling you drop off.

Mexican Delegation Makes Economic Trip to Neepawa

Neepawa is bolstering its connection with a city in Mexico.

Yesterday, delegates from Mexcio visited the HyLife plant in Neepawa to discuss future economic opportunities with the company and the town.

Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa MP Robert Sopuck says there's a terrific market for HyLife pork in Mexico.

"HyLife has an operation in Salvatierra, and so there's a very strong connection now between Neepawa and this community in Mexico. So this is not just theoretical anymore, this is a very real, alive trade relationship that exists in Manitoba pork with Mexico."

The Mexican delegation was hosted by the World Trade Centre in Winnipeg.
