One person is dead after a vehicle struck a semi yesterday night.
At around 8:30pm yesterday Carberry RCMP responded to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 1.
Police says that a vehicle that was heading northbound on Highway 5 attempted to cross Highway 1 when it struck a semi.
The northbound vehicle ignited and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the identification of the driver of the vehicle is pending and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
