Mounties Led to Terror Suspect by FBI Tip

The Mounties say it was a "race against time'' to identify and locate a would-be suicide bomber.

The RCMP says all they got initially in a tip from the FBI was a screen shot from a video.

The video itself later showed a man issuing vague but violent threats against Canada and Canadians.

Police confronted 24-year-old Aaron Driver as he left a home in Strathroy, Ontario and got into a waiting taxi.

An explosive device suddenly detonated, injuring the cabbie.

It's not clear if the blast killed Driver or he was hit by police gunfire.

Medical marijuana patients in Canada will soon be allowed to grow their own pot or designate someone else to grow it for them.

New rules from Health Canada that take effect later this month will allow authorized people to grow a limited amount of weed for their personal use.

The regulations are in response to a court decision that found a ban on patients growing medical pot to be a violation their constitutional rights.
