There have been 13 confirmed Tornado cases in Manitoba this year.
Meteorologist for Environment Canada, Terri Lang says they have one more tornado to confirm near Erickson, and if they do confirm it, that would make a total of 14.
Last year there were eight tornadoes recorded.
Lang says the weather pattern has to do with the number of tornadoes this year.
"Last year it was a drier year and the pattern did not set up. Often we get a big flow of really moist air from the south and the gulf of Mexico and this year, that pattern has set up."
The highest recorded number of tornadoes was in 1992 with 19.
