Charges have been laid in an investigation into an online video that shows a man throwing a puppy into the air and letting it fall to the ground.
The puppy, named Asha, is being treated for her injuries in a Winnipeg veterinary facility.
18-year-old Jesse Young of Easterville has been charged with causing unnecessary pain and injury to a dog and breach of undertaking.
Young will appear in court in The Pas on August 2.
