A man is dead after a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Highway 5.
At approximately 9:00 am yesterday, St. Rose RCMP received a report of a head-on collision near the junction on PR 50 inside the Municipality of McCreary.
The investigation has confirmed that the car travelling southbound on Highway 5, crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a semi-tractor-trailer unit.
The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 51 year old man from Toronto was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck did not suffer any serious injuries.
A collision re-constructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
