Yesterday the Manitoba Youth Job Centre Odd Job Squad had a rummage and bake sale and it was successful.

The students made all the baking themselves and provided the rummage for the sale, and they managed to earn $183.55 with the profit being split 5 ways and each participating youth will take home approximately $32 plus change.

Youth Engagement Leader, Lindsay Sanderson says that she is proud of what they all have accomplished this summer.

"It makes me feel just good to help them and also see them coming out of their shells and doing this work on their own and also taking a step back and watching them know what to do, and know that they are feeling comfortable and that we can just give them an opportunity to show off their skills."

The Odd Job Squad is a group that is under the guidance of the MYJC that consists of students from here in Dauphin that will go out and do odd jobs in the city or they put on their own events to earn money for the summer.

The squad will be putting on a BBQ tomorrow from 11am-2pm at Vermillion Park.
