Everything is all set up by the water and ready to go for the Sacred Waters Gospel Music Festival this weekend.
Organizer, Gary Medwechuk says, him and his wife were approached three years ago to start something like this up in Dauphin, and now the festival is on it's third year.

Medwechuk adds that this festival provides some unity.

"Not only with the people of the Dauphin and surrounding area and fellowship but, you know also with the churches, they've been coming together as well. A lot of church going people come to an event like this, a lot of people that just want to check things out. We are not here to teach or preach it to anybody, we are just here to educate about gospel music."

Gary's wife, Betty Medwechuk says, people around here really enjoy the music.

"It's just been a wonderful time. And so many people have been asking for, our first year there wasn't as many in attendance then the second year it like tripled. So, at a time when you think should we not have it anymore? We just had so much encouragement."

The festival is free of charge and it's being held at the Crescent Cove Beach near Dauphin on July 23rd.
