Dauphin Road Set to Undergo Major Re-Construction
Monday is anticipated to be the start of a major project on Veteran's Drive in Dauphin.
Maple Leaf Construction will be completely re-building the road, including the curb and gutter, granular subbase and base, and asphalt pavement.
The city says there will be some inconveniences to residents, particularly because there is no back lane on Veteran's.

Body of Calgary Girl Who Was Subject of Amber Alert Believed to be Found
A body believed to be that of five-year-old Taliyah Marsman has been found just outside of a town east of Calgary.
Calgary Police Chief Roger Chaffin says there's been around 100 officers working over the last 72 hours to find Taliyah -- and they're devastated.
Forty-six-year-old Edward Delten Downey is charged with first-degree murder in the death of the girl and her mother, 34-year-old Sara Baillie.
Baillie's body was found on Monday night in the home she shared with her daughter.

Attack During Bastille Day Celebrations in France Kills 84
The government of France has declared three days of national mourning after the attack in Nice that left at least 84 people dead.
French President Francois Hollande has also announced the state of emergency in place since last November's deadly attacks in Paris will remain in place.
A truck plowed into a crowd of people last night who had gathered to watch a Bastille Day fireworks display.
Police shot and killed the driver, but his identity is not yet known and there has been no claim of responsibility.

Trembowla to Honour 125 Years of Ukrainians in Canada
Ukrainian pioneers and settlers will be commemorated in Dauphin at the end of the month, having been in this country for one and a quarter centuries.
The Trembowla Historic Site & Museum Committee will celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Ukrainian settlements in Canada.
Kay Slebodzian, Secretary of the Trembowla Historic Site, says they were approached with the idea by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
"They had invited that we commemorate the 125th anniversary during our regular celebration of honouring pioneers."
The 125th celebration is scheduled for July 31st during the 51st annual Canada's National Ukrainian Festival.

Manitoba's Credit Rating Drops
A global rating agency has downgraded Manitoba's credit rating, citing its rising debt burden.
S and P Global Ratings, previously known as Standard and Poor's, bumped the province's credit rating to double-A-minus from double-A.
In a release, the agency says the downgrade reflects the expectation that Manitoba will have a sustained debt burden for several years.
It says the negative outlook reflects the view that the province faces significant challenges bringing itself back into fiscal balance.
The agency says there is a one-in-three chance that the province's financial targets will not be met.
