The Manitoba Youth Job Centre here in Dauphin had a slow start at the beginning but now, they have been busier than ever.
Youth Engagement Leader, Lindsay Sanderson says they have helped lots of youth.

"We have had 34 registered students, 20 job orders registered with the centre, 11 of those were employment positions and nine were odd jobs. We have offered over 20 refferals so far this year, and we've filled up 12 positions and eight were filled by other means."

The centre is only opened for the summer. So they will be opened until August 19th and they won't open back up again until May.

Sanderson says they have also done a lot of resume building for students.

"This has been one of the big things here at the centre. So for this year, we have been helping out 17 students so far creating their first time resumes."

The Odd Job Squad is having a  Rummage and Bake Sale Wednesday July 20th 11am-3pm, and a BBQ July 22nd 11am-2pm.

All proceeds go to the Participating Dauphin Youth.
