Two Pedestrians Killed in Thompson Crash

A youth and a young man are dead after a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrians in Thompson.

Police were called to the crash on Thompson Drive around 11:50 Tuesday night. A 17-year-old died at the scene. An 18-year-old later died in hospital.

RCMP say alcohol is believed to be a factor. Their investigation shows the two males were walking with a group of friends when they were struck by a vehicle. The vehicle then hit a hydro pole and came to a stop.

Police say the driver, a 22-year-old woman from Thompson, stayed at the scene and was taken into custody.
