Riding Mountain National Park will be undergoing inspections for aquatic invasive species.
Parks Canada is telling any visitors to RMNP by water, that they are required to undergo the inspection free of charge.

Interpretation Coordinator at RMNP, Patrick McDermott  says zebra mussels can become a real problem at Clear Lake. He said, "Zebra mussels can totally destroy areas of importance as far as visitor experience goes." McDermott added that RMNP wants to make sure that the lake is healthy for all visitors to enjoy while visiting the park.

Since early May, over 1300 watercraft have been inspected in RMNP with seven watercraft operators found to to be non-compliant.
