The weather for Dauphin's annual Countryfest is supposed to be phenomenal but it could raise some issues.
Countryfest is one of the busiest times of the year for the City of Dauphin, but it's also a busier time for Prairie Mountain Health.
Medical Officer of Health at PMH, Jas Atwal says the hot weather may lead to a higher number of people entering the hospital. However, he said there are many ways to take care of yourself including wearing loose fitted clothing, applying sunscreen, and constantly hydrating yourself.
PMH has planned for the occasion by having extra staff on board in both the Emergency Department and ambulance services.
