Crash in South Dauphin Blocks Traffic, But None Injured
There were no injuries reported in an accident on Dauphin's Main Street south last evening.
Traffic was made to detour as emergency crews were on the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the entrance to the McDonald's parking lot around 5 yesterday.

Dauphin Student Wins 2001 Sunfire in High Attendance Draw
For the second straight year, the DRCSS has awarded a student a car through its attendance initiative.
The high school held its celebration of learning and attendance barbeque yesterday.
"A student has to have 90 per cent overall attendance for the year, and then for every week that they had that they had no weeks or absences, they get a ballot for the drum," says Norm Casavant.
Grade 11 student Austin Gawryluik's name was drawn from more than 1,700 ballots.
He's the proud new owner of a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire, which was donated by Dean Cooley GM.

Warrant Issued for Mother of Missing Children
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a Manitoba woman believed to have abducted her 11-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son.
Montana and Josh Giesbrecht were last seen Monday night in Winnipeg getting into a car with someone police believe they knew.
Police say the warrant for 44-year-old Sandra Giesbrecht was issued because the kids may have been taken out of Manitoba.
They've previously expressed concern for the well-being of the children.

One Hurt and One Killed in Two Suspicious Fires in Winnipeg
Winnipeg police are investigating two suspicious fires, one in which a man was badly burned and another where a man died.
Police say that a 27-year-old man is in stable condition with burns to various parts of his body after he was robbed in his home and then lit on fire.
Thirty-four-year-old Darcy Berens has been charged with numerous offences.
Meanwhile, the homicide unit has been called in to investigate a fire at a home where a 50-year-old man was pulled out by emergency workers but later died in hospital.

Low Prices and Demand Cause Brandon Oil-Services Company to Shut Doors
Forty people are out of work after an international oil-services company suspended operations at its shop in Brandon.
Trican Well Service opened in Brandon in 2012.
Some employees are being offered transfers to other Trican bases.
Rob Cox, Trican's vice-president, Canadian region, blamed the closure on faltering oil prices and a drop in demand for the pumping services his company specializes in.

RCMP Reconsidering Pride Permit Rejection
Manitoba RCMP are having second thoughts about rejecting a permit for the first-ever pride march in an area known as the province's bible belt.
The Mounties initially denied a permit for the pride parade in Steinbach, a small city southeast of Winnipeg, because of road construction along the route.
They told event organizers, who need a permit to march on the street, there were safety concerns so marchers would have to stick to the sidewalk.
But after an uproar, the RCMP now says it is re-assessing the permit application for the July 9th event.
