Volunteer from the St. Viator's Church HUGE Garage sale says it was one for the books.
Mary Lynn Safronetz, Co-convener of the garage sale says the money they made from the sale was around the $2,000 mark.

Safronetz says they had a goal of $2,500, but she says they knew going into it they were going to have a problem meeting that goal.

"Because we didn't have a lot of furniture or big items. And that is where you are able to go over the top with income from a sale."

But, Safronetz says overall she was very happy with the communities support.

"It's not just the support from the community, it's the support of the perish, it's the support of friends of the perish who help with the product, it's just been awesome all the way around."

The money will be going towards the church purchasing or repairing their heating system.

And everything that was left over was being donated to the Knights of Columbus, and all the books were donated to the Rotary Club.
