Edward Sutherland will spend time behind bars.
In December 2023, Ste. Rose RCMP tried to stop a vehicle on the Ebb & Flow First Nation. The driver fled. It went off the road, and the driver hid in the bush, but he was arrested.
A search resulted in the seizure of $4,000, about 957 grams of meth, 223 grams of cocaine, and 30 grams of crack cocaine.
Sutherland pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison, minus the time already served in custody.
