CN Park is now lit up with Christmas trees as part of the Rotary Club of Dauphin's annual Gifts of Light promotion.

Steve Sobering with Rotary says this year is their best edition to date, as they sold out all of their available trees.

"We even managed to sneak a few late entries in so we pulled it all together and it was really good support this year again."

Sobering adds Gifts of Light would not be possible without the support of several groups.

"A big thank you to Fudd's Corner Store for looking after getting the live Christmas trees for us.  ICL COnstruction for helping with the installation on Saturday, Pathways Funeral Home for doing a lot of the coordinating and administrative work.  And basically, everybody who sponsored a tree."

The trees, which were purchased by local residents in memory of a passed loved one, were installed in the park on Saturday and lit up for the first time Sunday night.
