Fatal Crash Near Ashern
 
Four people are seriously hurt and one man is dead following a rollover on Highway 6, south of Grahamdale.
 
Ashern RCMP were called to the scene around 10:35 yesterday morning.
 
Police say a truck with six people in it lost control and rolled, ejecting four people.
 
A 30-year-old man from Fairford was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other passengers were taken to hospital by STARS and ambulance.
 
The driver of the truck was found at the scene. RCMP say alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Chase Martens' Family Thank Searchers, Ask for Privacy
 
The family of a two-year-old boy whose body was found in Manitoba this weekend is asking for privacy as they grieve.

Chase Martens went missing last Tuesday sparking a massive search effort.

His body was found in a creek near his parents' home on Saturday, and police say there is no sign of foul play.

In a statement, Chase's family say they are heartbroken, but also overwhelmed by the kindness shown by their community.

Manitoba Election
 
The Manitoba Liberals will be releasing their party's fiscal plan later today.

Manitoba's Progressive Conservatives and NDP, meanwhile, are each accusing the other of hiding something as campaigning for the provincial election continues.

The NDP accused PC Leader Brian Pallister over the weekend of hiding the specifics of what he'd cut, noting they could include reductions to health care and education.

The Tories, meanwhile, accuse the NDP of manipulating federal figures in order to hide their plans to hike taxes.
