A Brandon police officer is recovering at home after being stabbed multiple times earlier this week.
A 31-year-old Brandon police officer was taken to hospital with five stab wounds on Monday evening. He was released from hospital the same night.
A police report says the injuries were sustained while attempting to arrest an arson suspect. The report says the officer was able to control the suspect while other officers arrived and took the suspect into custody.
A 19-year-old suspect is facing several charges including Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and Arson - Disregard Human Life.
