RCMP have confirmed a search for a missing man from the Countryfest site.

Sergeant Paul Manaigre, RCMP Media Relations Officer, provides more information.

On July 1, 2018, at 10:40 am, the Dauphin RCMP received a report of a missing 24-year-old male. Danny Berhie Kidane was last seen by his friends at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Dauphin Countryfest grounds.

Kidane is described as African-Canadian, 5’6”, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing black shorts and flip flops.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dauphin RCMP at 204-622-5050, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, submit a secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com or text “TIPMAN” plus your message to CRIMES (274637).

Currently a ground search is being conducted in the area and a canine unit is coming in.  Search and rescue teams have arrived on scene.
