At around 10:30 last night, emergency crews rushed to the home approximately 8 miles west of the city south of highway 5.

Along with the house, the attached garage and a truck were a total loss before the Dauphin Fire Department arrived.

No one was injured in the fire as the house was unoccupied at the time. The fire was called in by a passerby who had seen the fire from the highway.  

The fire isn’t suspicious but is under investigation.
