They received a 50 thousand dollar contribution towards the purchase of a state-of-the-art Apollo pre-Hospital Patient Simulator for Dauphin hospital. This unit is used for training for the local healthcare staff.  It was made possible with support from both the Foundation and Dauphin Ladies Auxiliary.

After continued advocacy efforts the Dauphin Hospital Foundation is happy with the announcement that an MRI unit is coming to Dauphin. Foundation Chairman Doug Deans says they laid pressure most recently at the Finance Minister’s provincial budget information meeting held in Dauphin in the fall. Deans is happy the government kept their word and are extremely pleased they are completing the project.

The Foundation is looking ahead to the New Year. Some exciting projects are in the works for 2018. One of the projects is contributing to a refresh of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dauphin Regional Hospital Centre. For more information about donating to the Foundation contact the hospital at (204)-638-3211.
