Independent MLA Steven Fletcher came up with the idea to make everyone in the province organ donors unless they specifically say not to be. He introduced his private member’s bill last spring. The government has rejected the idea and plan to vote against it on Thursday.

Fletcher thinks this idea would cut long waiting lists for organ transplants.
