In a post from the Manitoba Hydro Twitter account, the company says "Parklands crews working on restoration/emergency calls through the night from outages caused by high winds/downed lines."

The strong winds have blown dozens of trees onto power lines causing the lines to fall down. As of the last count, 1745 customers are without power. In that total, more than 900 in Swan River and 666 in Dauphin are without power.

Manitoba Hydro is working on resolving the issues. They have more than 150 crew members working to restore power.

There is no estimated time when power will be back for all areas.

A representative from Manitoba Hydro asks all customers to report any power outages by calling 204-480-5900.
