On July 9th, RMNP will be hosting the Clear Lake Celebration Day educating visitors about the ecological benefits of the lake for the surrounding Parkland.
Interpretation Coordinator at RMNP, Patrick McDermott says the day will bring attention to the lake specifically. He added, "Well, what we thought we would do is bring some attention to the lake itself through some of the initiatives we are doing here."
The national park's initiatives include stopping the spread of invasive species (specifically zebra mussels) and how visitors can enjoy the lake.
The Clear Lake celebration is scheduled to run all day.
