You are passionate about student success and are energized about working with a diverse student body with a range of support needs. You will provide information to current and future students about college programs and courses, the admissions process, financial assistance, housing, daycare, and provide proactive and ongoing academic and personal supports to applicants and students throughout their educational journey.
Your interest in this area will enable you to take initiative and develop supports for students that help them succeed at college. Your contributions will create unparalleled student experiences and will help us achieve our goal providing quality programs that are responsive to Manitoba’s labour market. Your assessment of students learning needs will enable you to provide supports in a variety of areas including; writing, math, test preparation and study skills. You will work closely with faculty to co-facilitate classroom interventions for students with a range of accommodation needs and learning supports. You will ist with the peer-tutoring program and testing services at the Parkland Campus.
You will have a passion for student success, an appropriate degree, supplemented with a minimum of three years directly related experience in delivering learning supports, including experience in a secondary or adult education/training environment. You will be familiar with assistive technology software. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of assessment and psycho-educational testing and reports and will have experience in group facilitation and classroom presentations. You will be a strong communicator who enjoys working in a solutions-focused team environment, where you strive to understand the personal and academic needs of college students. Regular travel to provincial satellite campuses will be required.
