Friday Sports Notes

Hockey Provincials continue this weekend across Manitoba. There are three local teams in the mix. In Melita the Dauphin Atom Males take part in the Rural 'A' event. The Peewee Girls are in Warren to take part in the Rural 'C' and 'D' tournament, and in Steinbach the Dauphin Female Midgets hit the ice in the Rural 'C' and 'D' event. Two To Go

The Dauphin Kings play their second to last game of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League season tonight when they visit the only team that won't make the playoffs, the Neepawa Natives. Listen to it on 730 CKDM starting at 7:30pm!

WHSHL Playoffs March On

The Westman High School Hockey League's Dauphin Clippers are getting set for their Semi Final series with Russell's Major Pratt Trojans. Thursday Sports Notes

The Masters Men's Provincial Curling Championship is underway in Winnipeg. Dauphin's Russell Murray is there and he'll play two games today. First against Brandon's Lory Saban and then later on against Keith Mcleod of Springfield. The round robin for the tournament goes until Sunday. Listen to CKDM for updates!

Wednesday Sports Notes

After snapping their losing streak over the weekend the Brandon Wheat Kings will try to keep the ball rolling tonight when they entertain the Lethbridge Hurricanes. With a goal this evening Grandview's Ryan Pulock will pass Brad McCrimmon's franchise record which is currently set at 61 for defencemen. The Wheat Kings are currently seventh in the WHL's Eastern Conference, four points inside the playoff picture.
