Dauphin, Canada

At just 12-years-old, Dauphin's Breken Brezden has had a very successful figure skating career, and now she's taking her talents to the Manitoba Winter Games.

"I am super excited to head to the Games," said Brezden. "It's going to be fun."

The selection committee chose Breken as one of the competitors in the U-16 women's competition based on her past results at various events.

"I'm just hoping I can do the best I can do," said Brezden. "I just have to give it my best, and not worry about what the other skaters are doing."

This will be Brezden's first appearance at a Manitoba Winter Games, and she can't wait for the Games to begin.

"I'm really looking forward to the whole experience that will come out of this event," said Brezden. "It's going to be so much fun to spend time with my team, and watching other events as well."

Brezden notes this event will help her going forward for future events because the team is always pushing each other to compete at the highest of their abilities.
