Dauphin, Canada

It was a dream start for the Dauphin Kings, but they couldn't keep it as they fell 5-1 against Portage tonight at Stride Place.

Just 1:12 into the first, Jaymes Knee continued his stellar rookie season as he went bar down beating the Terrier goalie as the Kings led 1-0.

The Terriers tied it up at one not long later, and scored two more goals within the periods final four minutes to take a 3-1 lead after 20.

The Dogs added one in each of the second and third periods as they picked up two points with a 5-1 win which moved them into sole possession of second place.

The Kings are back on the ice tomorrow against Winkler.
