The Parkland 15U Vipers Volleyball team will be back in action this weekend in Brandon.
The Vipers have competed well against many teams in the Province but face a tough test this weekend.

Head Coach Ted Rea says a good start to the tournament is crucial.

"Our first match right off the bat is against Brandon Gold, which will be one of the top teams in that tournament. I've talked about it with the Girls and I think if we set the tone of the tournament with that, because that's the first match we play, we should have a good finish in our pool."

The tournament could serve as a good tune up for Provincials coming up in early May.

Rea feels that the same result as last year or better would be a great finish for the team.

"Overall, last year we ended up finishing fourth, which was a great run. We lost in the semi-final match to Dynamo Red who won Provincials and Nationals last year, and we took them to a third set. We played very well last year and I expect to do a repeat performance this year."

Looking ahead, the 14U Vipers will host their own tournament on April 8th and 9th, while the 15U Vipers get to hold their own tournament on the 15th.
